NC Council of Chapters 2nd Quarter Meeting
June 8-9, 2012
* The 2nd Quarterly Meeting of the North Carolina Council of Chapters was held June 8 and 9, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Hickory in Hickory, NC.
* The meeting was hosted by the Catawba Valley Chapter and President Joe Cansler was congratulated for the outstanding coordination of arrangements and speaker.
* At the regular meeting on June 9th, the current and past presidents of the NCCOC were gathered for a group picture along with Barry Wright, COL, USA-Ret., the Deputy for Council and Chapter Affairs, MOAA National. Shown in the picture (L to R) are Jack Overman, Joe Cansler, Vern Pike, Barry Wright, Fred Black and Bob Garman.

Council President Bob Garman presents the award certificate to CAPT Doug Ehrhardt, President, New River Chapter for their 1st Place Award in the 2011 COL Marvin J. Harris Communication Awards Contest for Category V (Chapters with fewer than 120 members) Web Site. CAPT Ehrhardt also accepted the chapter's award for 1st runner up, print newsletter, edited by Col Ken Lynn, USAF-ret.
