* The culmination of our North Carolina Council of Chapters four days in the Revolutionary City of Colonial Williamsburg was the formal dinner on Friday, September 9, 2017. Our guest and keynote speaker was MOAA President and CEO, Lt Gen Dana Atkins (pictured below right). Before dinner, the College of William and Mary, US Army Revolutionary Guard Battalion (pictured above right) under the leadership of MAJ(P) Menhart, US Army, presented the colors.
* Scroll over the thumbnail photographs to the right to see pictures from the formal dinner. The first three thumbnail photographs show the "Missing Man Table" display which was presented by COL Ed Baisden acting as MC and COL Jeri Graham identifying the elements on the table. Before dinner was served, there were "toasts" made during which time the assembled guests raised a glass to our President, our military and our Council.

* As MOAA has begun the revision of their programming to hold "Levels of Excellence" dinners on alternating years at annual meetings, shown in the thumbnail photographs (right), before his remarks, Lt Gen Atkins presented the ten 5- and 4-Star medallions that our Council received for 2016 to Chapter Presidents or their representatives at the convention. This link will open the "News and Events" posting that also show the Council and Chapter recipients, along with names and chapter affiliations.
